Descale your kettle – cover the bottom of your kettle with the citric acid and add about an inch of water, enough to cover the area to be cleaned, including the heating element. Turn the kettle on to activate the acid, which will fizz and get to work at dissolving the limescale. Repeat the process if necessary until all the buildup is removed. Rinse the kettle several times before using again.
Clean your toilet bowl – add approximately 500g of citric acid to your toilet bowl and allow to work without flushing over night. Use a toilet brush to scrub and loosen any tough limescale before flushing.
Clean your showerhead – immerse the shower head in a bucket or bowl of hot water (dismantle the parts if possible), add approximately 250g of citric acid and allow to work for 15 minutes before removing from the solution and running water through the parts to clear any debris. The solution can be poured away down a sink or drain.
Available in 1kg packet of recycled, biodegradable, re-sealable paper pouches.
