All our products are packaged in biodegradable, recycled, recyclable, compostable, re-usable paper and greaseproof paper, or recyclable tin. We use second hand boxes and cardboard for shipping orders. We recommend that all powders are kept in a dry environment or decanted into airtight containers, as we do not use anti-caking agents.

Every one of our products is totally cruelty free and though we don’t go out of our way to procure vegan ingredients, these are predominantly minerals and oils so they just happen to be so.

None of our ingredients are Fair Trade certified but that’s down to the category of ingredient where there generally isn’t an official fair trade option.

Our focus is on the reduction of plastic packaging and harmful chemicals in cleaning products but if we found that any of our suppliers were neglecting human rights or exploiting their suppliers we would actively seek out an alternative.

Our powders contain only gentle ingredients which do not aggravate skin conditions. Both lavender and rose geranium oils are very kind to skin but we particularly recommend rose geranium laundry wash for those who suffer from eczema or psoriasis.

The lack of nasty ingredients and the sodium carbonate within the powder keeps your washing machine well maintained, cutting through grease, grime and bacteria, as well as preventing limescale build up.

Add a tablespoon or two directly to the machine drum. Use one or two teaspoons to a hand wash for delicates.

Our powders are perfect for nappy washing as there are no chemicals, irritants and contain safe essential oils specifically chosen for sensitive skins.

You can purchase the laundry powder in bulk by choosing the heavily discounted 5kg option. This comes in a paper sack lined cardboard box, which we recommend being decanted into a more permanent container if possible.

Simply add 1 – 2 teaspoons of powder to a 10 litre bucket or washing up bowl of hot / hand-hot water and agitate to form a lather and activate the ingredients. When washing up, use a loofah or natural sponge as this will create more surfactant foam. When washing the floor, use the solution in your bucket with a mop or cloth, as you would with your previous floor cleaner.

A 500g packet of these powders should provide up to 40 applications.

Wet the bar and work up a lather by rubbing with a natural sponge or loofah, add the lather directly to your dishes or add to a bowl of hand-hot water to form a bath for your items. Once you have a lather, it is pretty much the same as using washing up liquid.

Yes, our floor cleaner powder can be used for the cleaning of all hard surfaces, including wooden floors, doors and frames, walls, skirting boards, paint work, formica, metals etc. It can be used on glass to remove dirt and grim but you will need to go over your glass with white vinegar to remove smears.

Our bathroom and kitchen cleaning bars can be used safely and effectively on all surfaces and anywhere in the household. The kitchen bar is particularly good at removing tough burnt on dirt from pots, pans and ovens.

The difference is simply in the oils used. The kitchen bar includes lemon oil and thyme oil. These two oils are naturally antibacterial and antiseptic and effective at killing e-coli and salmonella bacteria.

The bathroom bar contains tea tree and eucalyptus oils which have powerful antibacterial, antiseptic and antifungal properties, perfect for achieving bathroom hygiene and preventing mould.

We have chosen our suppliers as ethically as possible. We choose as minimal carbon footprint as possible and favour those who use zero or minimal plastic packaging. This does however, mean that our prices are non-competitive but we are working on this all the time and the more manufacturers who choose ethos and integrity over financial gain, the sooner prices for green products can be lowered for the consumer.

We use organic essential oils in our washing up products and all our coconut oil ingredients are also organic. 

Where we can source organic certified ingredients at the right price point we will but if we used only organic ingredients it would make our product far too expensive for our customers.

The minerals we use in our products are not ‘cultivated’ and the production process requires no pesticides or herbicides so isn’t applicable as far as organic methods are concerned

Yes, all our products are free from palm oil, including our soap based products. Our soaps are made with a rapeseed and coconut oil stearic.

No, all our products are SLS and SLES free. There are some urban myths regarding this surfactant, we don’t use it because a lot of it comes from palm kernels and we don’t want to be a part of that industry. We recommend “large wool” for use with our bathroom and kitchen cleaning bars, while the “large honeycomb” is ideal for bodycare and the “small wool” works brilliantly with our dish bar and washing up powder. We have introduced the “Hard Head” sponge, which is perfect for vegetable cleaning!

Natural sea sponges have been used for centuries for personal and domestic cleaning. The porous structure of each sponge activates plenty of foam when soap is applied to its wetted fibres.

These natural sea sponges are harvested sustainably in the Meditereanean sea off the Greek island of Kalymnos and are carefully hand cut to ensure the regrowth of the sponge.

We chose the sponges over the loofah option due to the high farming and carbon impact of the loofah industry. They only fall into a sub-animal kingdom category due to their multicellular nature which differs from the way that other plants feed. They have no central nervous system nor consciousness. 

Natural sea sponges are self-cleaning and naturally antibacterial, due to their ability to quickly dry out their fibres, preventing the sponge from breeding bacteria.

We recommend using the “honeycomb’ sponge for body care and hygiene. It’s soft, open fibres assist in exfoliating and opening the pores of your skin and is ideal for soft, sensitive and baby skin.

The large “wool” sponge is ideal for household cleaning and will gently and effectively clean any surface. They are the perfect accessory to use with our kitchen and bathroom cleaning bars. We advise using the small wool sponge for washing up dishes, using our dish bar or washing up powder.

Before using the sponge, soak completely in water to become big and soft. After usage, rinse clean and let it dry thoroughly. To care for your sponge, place in salty water for twenty four hours once or twice a month.
